We believe that the health, safety, and well-being of our athletes, employees, stakeholders and the communities within which hold our events and travel to, remains our highest priority, and we have developed detailed operating plans with the objective of being able to provide a prudent, safe and responsible working environment for events in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines that have been implemented to combat COVID-19. Our plans set forth detailed, comprehensive operations plan for our upcoming events, providing clear direction to athletes on safe practices implemented by WSL, which WSL’s event management will follow, and steps to be followed by athletes, athlete teams and WSL employees, in respect of health and safety procedures and event operations. All personnel, athletes, and 3rd parties are required to comply with our plans. Our plans include the following requirements:
- signing a disclaimer containing confirmations around COVID-19 matters before attending any event or site;
- advanced screening measures before entering event sites, including temperature checks;
- limits on the number of people who may access an event site;
- physical distancing measures;
- changes to site layouts to ensure proper ventilation and social distancing;
- event signage;
- food and beverage guidelines;
- advanced cleaning and disinfection procedures;
- medical procedures;
- guidance on the choice of hotels and transport; and
- detailed isolation and contact tracing procedures which WSL management will roll out in the event of any COVID-19 exposure, diagnosis, or symptoms presenting.
